Year 1 Science Trip to Highgate Wood

Year 1 had a fantastic time on our science trip to Highgate Wood. We used our senses to find evidence to show us it is Autumn. As a class, we discussed some of the items we might see, hear or touch that would tell us this. Some of our ideas included different coloured leaves, bare trees, conkers and pine cones. We went on a scavenger hunt around Highgate Woods to look for these items. We found some amazing, colourful leaves, and some very tall mushrooms!
