Interesting fact - the Torah scroll is handwritten in Hebrew from right to left!
Year 4 enjoyed a visit to the local synagogue last week and were fascinated to spot the features (Ark, Bimah and Ner Tamid) that we had been learning about in class. We all tried on a Kippah (a type of hat worn out of respect). And it was interesting to see a Torah scroll up close – which is entirely handwritten in Hebrew from right to left!
