Year 4 Christingles and Fabulous Light-Up Cards!
We held our Christingles and joyously sang, ‘This little light of mine’
This week, Year 4 delighted in making Christingles whilst learning about the symbolism behind. They learned how they are used in Christingle services in the run-up to Christmas and were able to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas for Christians. We held our Christingles and joyously sang, ‘This little light of mine’ and reflected on how we can ‘be the light’ this festive period and beyond.
Year 4 also had a great time combining their learning in Science and Design Technology with all things festive, when they created these fabulous light-up cards. It certainly took persistence and hard work handling the fiddly copper tape and delicate LEDs to construct the paper circuits, but it was all worth it in the end!
